Important!!! There will be a limited amount of accommodation spaces in the Tudor Vladimirescu student campus of the Technical University.
The limited number of rooms in the University campus will be avaible at the price of 55 RON/person ( the equivalent of 11 Eur/person).
The booking for the rooms in the T20 student hostel will be made by the organizers and the payment will be made at the reception.
Places will be filled in the order in which applications are received at the conference email address (geometrydays2024@gmail.com), with a priority given to PhD students.

TRANSPORTATION
Iasi International Airport is a small airport, but there are many connections not only to Bucharest but also to many places in Europe, Viena (Austria), Munich (German), Luton (England), Brussels (Belguim) and so on. Iasi can be reached by plane from many EU countries (details here).
[1] From Airport to City center
The best way to get from the airport to the city center is to take a taxi.
But please note that in the airport there are no information desks. So, sometimes you have to wait.
The fair is approximately 30 Ron (nearly 7 EUR).
From the airport to your hotel in downtown you can reach within 30 minutes.
There are also alternative methods to reach the hotel.
- You can use public bus service No. 50 (CTP Iasi) from “Aeroport” to “Piata Unirii” (Statia Independentei).
- The bus No. 50 goes to “Gara” (Iasi station).
- It stops at “Targu Cucu” before it reaches at “Piata Unirii” about 10 minutes.
- You may get off at “Targu Cucu” if your hotel is near there.
- You can take a tram and a bus at “Piata Unirii”.
- The price for a single ticket is 3.5 lei. It is valid for 120 minutes.

[2] Iasi Station (Gara)
- In order to get to Iasi you may use Romanian train service. CFR Romanian train timetable
- From the Iasi station (Gara) to the city center, you can use trams 3, 6 and 7.
- From the Iasi station (Gara) to the student campus Tudor Vladimirescu, you can use tram 7.
- From the Iasi station (Gara) to the University you can use bus 36.

- In order to come to the conference room from the city center, use trams No.1, No. 8, No. 9, No.13 from “Piata Unirii” or “Statia Independentei” or “Targu Cucu” and get off at “Universitate”.
- From “Targu Cucu”, the bus No. 42 and the tram No. 1 and 8 take you to the campus of Technical University (“Tudor Vladimirescu”)
- Please note that the conference room is in the same building as of Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi. It is along the street of Carol I (“Bulevardul Carol I”)
[4] From Tudor Vladimirescu student campus to University (Conference Room)
- The main campus of Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iasi is not located in the same area as the conference room. It is south-east of Palace of Culture.
- Those hosted in the Tudor Vladimirescu student campus can reach the Conference room using bus No. 42 or tram No. 8.
